Been to beautiful Charlevoix (Québec, Canada) last summer and couldn't resist trying to capture the essence of this beautiful back-country region.
This one was taken from the top of one of the mountains in the Parc National des Hautes-Gorges de la Rivière Malbaie. Took us nearly five hours on foot to reach the top (and come back) through the semi-natural trail called 'L'acropole des draveurs'. They used only rocks and physical strength to build it in order to protect the forest from human damage. The park itself is a preserved ecosystem. It's incredibly amazing when you realize the amount of effort they put into preserving it. |
